Sekilas tentang STTBII Purworejo
Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Baptis Independen Indonesia (STTBII) Purworejo didirikan oleh Yayasan Penginjil dan Pendidikan Baptis Independen Indonesia (YPPBII) Purworejo berdasarkan SK YPPBII No. 002/YPPBII/Kep/1976 tanggal 5 Juli 1976.
STTBII Purworejo didirikan untuk menjawab kebutuhan pelayanan di dalam gereja dan masyarakat dengan mempersiapkan dan memperlengkapi generasi muda menjadi pemimpin pelayan yakni sebagai Pendeta, Pekerja Gereja, Penyuluh dan Pendidik Agama Kristen yang unggul dalam mengajarkan Firman Tuhan, mendirikan dan mengembangkan gereja serta berperan aktif dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
Hingga kini STTBII Purworejo telah menghasilkan lulusan yang berkiprah di berbagai lembaga, seperti menjadi pelayan di gereja, yakni sebagai Pendeta, Pekerja Gereja, Perintis gereja, Tenaga Penyuluh agama Kristen, termasuk menjadi Guru Agama Kristen di sekolah negeri dan swasta.
